Your Work and the Kingdom –
A New On-Demand Curriculum
It has become increasingly difficult for believers to see a connection between their work and Christian faith. Not only has our economy become secularized, but church is often seen as a refuge from stressful and competitive jobs. Given this, many Christians today experience a disconnection between faith and work and even loneliness in their workplace.
But what if we could discover deeper meaning for our work?
Your Work and the Kingdom is an on-demand study that will guide you through a comprehensive biblical and theological understanding of work. It will take the truths of Scripture and help apply them to wherever you spend your days. And we are not just talking about paid work but work in the home as well as places where you volunteer.
The course includes streamed lectures (10-12 min) and a study guide with scriptural reading, discussions, and practical take-aways. The study is suitable for both groups and individuals. A group could work through each session in about 60 min, or individuals can study at their own pace.

- The Brokenness of Work
- Salvation and Work
- Spirituality for Work
- Working for Shalom
The cost is $55 for individuals and $200 for groups. After registering, you will receive an email providing access to the videos and the study guide in Google Classroom.

Work and Worship – Resources for Pastors and Worship Leaders
Most members of congregations participate in the mission of God primarily through their everyday work. But there’s a challenge for all of us because we continue to live with these odd dualisms:
Science // Religion
Secular // Sacred
Facts // Values
Public // Private
Work // Worship
This means that work and worship are relegated to different parts of our lives—as if they don’t have much to do with each other. But we know that these dualisms don’
t work any more; as if they ever did. We have to find ways to bring everyday work into worship. Another way to put it: Workers should feel like they can bring their work to worship.
The College has prepared resources for the integration of work and worship: Prayers, Sermon Ideas, Creative Activities, Children’s Times, Litanies. There are enough resources here to lead four services on the theme of work. Or you can distribute these resources through many services.
