A small group of congregational leaders from across Canada is online for a monthly gathering of prayer and study and conversation; a group of workers (including a nurse, a small business owner, and a mechanic) are together in a classroom talking about how their work finds its way into worship; a gifted worship leader draws women and men creatively into worship, while orienting us also to the world.
All of these experiences and opportunities are supported through our Leadership Centre.
Our greatest desire is to nurture these leaders for the church, for the workplace, and for broader society. Leadership has been defined in many ways. We like to think of it as growth. Every leader is on a journey of learning and a journey of change. Competent and faithful leaders, in turn, will nurture the growth and change of others.
People learn through information, experiences and relationships… but information alone is perhaps the least formative of the three! That’s why we believe leadership development is more about having the space to reflect on your experiences with good information and experienced coaching.
We create this space by offering regular, high quality, and practical learning experiences that leaders love. If the leaders who come to us don’t feel loved and love the support and coaching they receive at the Leadership Centre, we’re just not doing the job God has given us to do.

The Leadership Centre of the college was established in 2015, in response to a need to support young and newly ordained pastoral leaders—the Mentoring Program was its beginning. Since that time we have worked to support the life and leadership of congregations and individuals through programs in the area of discernment, of faith and work, and of congregational vitality.

“This is our time on the history line of God. This is it. What will we do with the one deep exhale of God on this earth? For we are but a vapor and we have to make it count. We’re on. Direct us, Lord, and get us on our feet.” — Beth Moore
