Pastoral Visiting and Care

Pastoral Visiting and Care is an online study for lay leaders who are already involved in visiting and praying with church members or for those interested in learning how to participate in this vital part of congregational life. The study will introduce you to important themes around care, visiting, grief, life transitions, in order to build your comfort and confidence in visiting and care for others. While this study will not provide training at the level of professional spiritual care or pastoral counseling, it will introduce important ideas and practices to support your care for others.

This study is a part of our Certificate in Lay Leadership program for those who are registered in that program.

This 6-week online study will begin on March 10, 2026 and will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. (EST). The registration fee is $135/person.
